The French Academy of Dance
The French Academy of Dance is dedicated to spark and nurture the love of dance in students of all ages and levels. We provide a positive environment where creativity, progression, and self-confidence are at the forefront of our teaching philosophy.
Our artistic director and principal, Ms Marie holds the French Dance Teacher state diploma.
With her experience as a dance teacher and professional dancer, and a deep passion for the art of dance, Ms Marie brings a unique approach to each class, ensuring a high-quality dance experience for every student, helping them progress and reach their full potential.
We pride ourselves on offering syllabus free dance classes. Ms Marie plans every lesson following a progression plan and ensuring the evolution of each dancer both technically and artistically whilst maintaining a safe environment and respecting every dancer’s body and abilities.
This innovative approach ensures that every class is a unique journey, focusing on the progression, creativity, and personal development of each dancer.
Our classes cover a wide range of dance styles, from Modern Jazz to Contemporary and Ballet, and are taught in English.

ABOUT
Ms Marie
Ms. Marie is a French professional dancer and dedicated dance teacher with an extensive background in Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary dance.
She received her training at prestigious institutions including the American Academy of Dance in Paris, the Sydney Dance Company, and the Choréia Performing Arts Center in Paris, where she earned her Dance Teacher State Diploma.
Marie has performed with the Free Spirit dance collective in France and is a dancer and choreographer for the Emajinarium show at La Seine Musicale in Paris. Her rich experience in performing arts brings a unique and dynamic perspective to her teaching.
After teaching in various dance schools across London, Marie realised her dream of creating a space where she could share her passion for dance and her unique teaching philosophy. In 2024, she opened the French Academy of Dance in Earlsfield.
Marie's vision is to inspire and guide each student, helping them discover their full potential and a lifelong love for dance.

We offer classes for all ages and levels.
From beginner to advanced.
30 min classes : For dancers up to 3 years old
45 min classes : Between 3 and 6 years old
1 hour classes : From 7 years old to adults
Tiny Dancers
Tiny Dancers is a class designed for young children to discover the enchanting world of dance. In our nurturing and playful environment, children will explore movement, music, and rhythm.
Our program focuses on:

Modern Jazz
Modern Jazz dance is a dynamic style that combines sharp, precise movements with fluid, expressive gestures, emphasising rhythm and swing. Rooted in African American dance traditions, Jazz dance incorporates elements of ballet and modern dance.
In this class dancers will:
Build strong technique, flexibility, and musicality while embracing creativity and personal style, all set to various music styles.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced dancer, our Modern Jazz classes offer a fun and dynamic way to explore the vibrant world of jazz dance.
Contemporary
Contemporary dance is a versatile and expressive style that blends elements of modern, jazz, and ballet. It emphasises fluidity, improvisation, and emotional expression.
Contemporary dance often involves floor work, fall and recovery, and intricate partnering techniques.
In this class, dancers will:
Develop strength, flexibility, and artistic expression through various contemporary dance styles.
Our Contemporary classes offer a way to connect with music and experiment with movement in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Ballet
Ballet is a classical dance form known for its grace, precision, and technical rigor. Originating in the royal courts of Europe, ballet has evolved into a highly disciplined art form that emphasizes technique, posture, and alignment.
In this class, dancers will:
Learn foundational movements such as pliés, tendus, and pirouettes, as well as more advanced techniques as they progress. Ballet training provides a strong foundation for all other dance styles, enhancing strength, flexibility, and musicality.
Whether aspiring to discover ballet or seeking to improve their skills, dancers will find our ballet classes both challenging and rewarding.

4 - 4.30pm: Tiny Dancers
4.45 - 5.30pm: Children - Modern Jazz/Ballet
7 - 8pm: Adult - Modern Jazz

30 min class : £150 per 12 weeks Term (£12.50 per class)
45 min class : £168 per 12 weeks Term (£14 per class)
1 hour class : £180 per 12 weeks Term (£15 per class)
